Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to transform complex data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. The role involves advanced data analysis, dashboarding, stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring junior analysts while ensuring data accuracy, governance, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
Partner with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
Perform advanced SQL queries and optimize database performance
Build and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting
Conduct data validation, data quality checks, and root-cause analysis
Automate recurring reports and analytical processes
Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise manner
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to analytics best practices
Support ad-hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as needed
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
SQL – Advanced querying, joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions
Data Visualization Tools – Power BI / Tableau / Looker
Programming Languages – Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn) or R
Databases – MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle
Excel – Advanced formulas, Power Query, Pivot Tables, VBA (optional)
Data Modeling – Star schema, snowflake schema, fact & dimension tables
ETL & Data Pipelines – Experience working with ETL tools or data workflows
Statistics – Descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, trend analysis
Data Warehousing Concepts – OLAP, OLTP, data marts
Good to Have / Nice-to-Have Skills
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Big data tools: Spark, Hive, or BigQuery
Version control: Git / GitHub
Familiarity with Machine Learning basics
Experience with data governance and compliance
Knowledge of business domains such as finance, HR, sales, or marketing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
5–8 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
