What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading the development of major features and components across the front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js/NestJS).
  • Driving architectural discussions, technical design, and solution patterns for new and existing systems.
  • Mentoring intermediate and junior developers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Owning end-to-end delivery of features—from technical design, build, testing, and release.
  • Ensuring system reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability through strong engineering practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA, DevOps) to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions.
  • Identifying technical risks, proposing mitigations, and contributing to product and engineering roadmaps.
  • Improving engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
  • Investigating complex defects, production incidents, and performance bottlenecks across the stack.
  • Advocating for clean code, automation, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
  • Contributing to security best practices, API governance, and data integrity across services and integrations.

Your Talents…
  • Extensive hands-on experience with React, including advanced state management, performance optimisation, and component architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Node.js and NestJS, including designing scalable, modular backend services and APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and application design patterns.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex system architectures and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), schema design, query optimisation, and ORM frameworks.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, automated testing frameworks, and cloud environments (AWS).
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and influence engineering direction.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and uplifting other developers.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills across the full stack.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for quality, clean code, automation, and building scalable, elegant solutions.
  • Bonus: Experience with containerisation (Docker), infrastructure-as-code, or observability tools.
